Irene Adler

“French finger tips, red lips, bitch is dangerous. Look but don't touch, unless you want to loose your innocence.”

Driver picks the music, shotgun shuts his cake hole.

Full Name: Irene Estelle Adler
Nicknames/Aliases: The Woman, Lady Estelle
Age: 33
Occupation: Dominatrix, owner of 'Le Papillon Noir' fetish club
Home Town: Belgravia, England

I'm not a psychopath. I'm a high-functioning sociopath. Do your research.

Species: Human
Sexual Preference: Pansexual
Marital Status: Single
Ethnicity: British
Eye Colour: Green
Hair Colour: Brown
Defining Features: Black butterfly tattoo going up over her shoulder blade and up towards her neck (more to the right as opposed to centre like in the picture). Always dresses in Victorian-esque outfits while at work; wears expensive designers when out of work.
Face Claim: Rachel McAdams

Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. Give me time. And a crayon.

Personality: Irene is a feisty female who gives as good as she gets. She enjoys being in charge and being the one with the power (as can be seen by her choice of job). She isn't afraid to work hard to get what she wants; and isn't above using charm and her seduction to get it. Strong and independent, she refuses to admit that underneath all that she still retains a hint of vulnerability. Summed up in two words? Femme fatale.

Irene is classy and sophisticated, enjoying classical literature. Every evening now she has a "tea ceremony" much like in Japan, where she will sit and have tea either by herself or with a friend before her work for the night starts. She appreciates smartness and enjoys detective stories (and consequently, detectives).

Despite all this, she is also has a manipulative and devious side to her. She is a troublemaker and enjoys 'misbehaving' as she calls it. To safeguard herself against any form of backlash against her, she collects 'insurance' material, which she can use to blackmail clients. However, despite all this she can be caring, especially around those she has allowed to come close to her. She is also a notorious flirt, though the way she flirts has changed since she's come back to London.

Professionally known as either ‘Lady Estelle' or 'The Woman' in and out of work, she provides, ‘recreational scolding’ for those who enjoy that sort of thing and are prepared to pay for it. She enjoys living in comfort and luxury. Her outfits and jewellery are proof that only the best will do and nothing less. Thankfully her high-paying clients and successful business ensure that she remains in said luxury.

Skills and Talents: Quick-thinker, super organised, can uphold a conversation in French and Italian. Prides herself on her skills behind closed doors and her ability to size her male clients, such as predicting what kind of lifestyles they lead based on what their sexual interests are and the price, ratings, and styles of the hotels they pay for on "out calls".
Powers: N/A

Family don't end with blood, boy.

Parents: Adele and Albert Adler
Siblings: None
Other Important Figures: Sherlock Holmes, Mycroft Holmes, John Watson, Jim Moriarty.
History:  Irene was born in Chiswick, London, into a rather wealthy family. Her mother was a paediatrician, while her father was a lawyer. The girl, from the very start was never in want of anything, but her parents would often deny her things in order for her to grow up unspoilt. She was a smart child who adored exploring and reading.

While growing up, Irene thought she had the perfect family. Though her dad spent a lot of his time in the office, when he was home, it was wonderful. The three called themselves "The Three Musketeers" and for all the world seemed happy and content as could be. However from when Irene was about eight, she began to overhear her parents fighting and arguing when she was supposed to be asleep. She would often cry herself to sleep, afraid that they would divorce and their family would be broken. She sought refuge in the world of books, escaping to other worlds when the one she was in got too much.

Two years later, her parents sat her down and told her they were finally getting a divorce. Irene's perfect little world was shattered. She begged them not to do it, but her father moved out that night. They died in a car accident when they met to go to the lawyers to finalise the divorce when the other driver fell asleep at the wheel and crossed the centre-line, ploughing right into the family car. Irene was now an orphan. She was sent to the local orphanage and though she escaped several times and spent months out on the streets living as a street urchin, eventually she returned.

To distract herself, Irene threw herself into her studies, knowing that hard work and perseverance was the only way she would leave this horrid place for a better life. At 16 she moved out of the orphanage and into a dingy bed-sit, studying during the day and doing odd jobs during the night, such as pizza-delivery and dish-washer at an Italian restaurant. There were days when she would fall asleep in class, causing her teachers to worry, but she passed all her classes with exceptional grades nonetheless.

She won a scholarship to Oxford university and continued her studies there. She graduated top of her class with a double-degree of Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English Literature. After graduation she worked two jobs to pay off her loans: she worked as a second house-mum at a local gentleman's club, looking after the girls and organising things for them while on shift, and she worked as a receptionist in a bordello. It was here that she came to realise that in an industry so targeted at males, women were the ones that held all the power. This notion intrigued her and she began studying the art of S&M after one of the dancers she worked for told her to read "The Story Of O".

Finally Irene decided to open up her own dominatrix business and through some very successful marketing via her old colleagues, her business soon took off. In what seemed no time at all, Irene had made a name for herself in the market and began getting very illustrious clients. Eventually she met Jim Moriarty who told her exactly what to do with the blackmail material that she collected for her protection.

After her attempt to bring the British nation to its knees with compromising photos of Irene and a young royal family member failed, Irene fled the country. After having adventures abroad, Irene ended in some terrorist cells, about to be executed. Sherlock Holmes rescued her by pretending to be the executioner and once again, Irene managed to escaped unscathed.

After the near-death experience, Irene changed. She became more quiet and reserved and not as flirty. She continued to travel, afraid to return to England just yet. Sure, it was a large country (especially compared to some she'd been in), but the risk of running into Moriarty was too big. Eventually after many years of travelling around the globe, Irene realised that she missed London and she rather missed her old life. She contacted one of USA's top cosmetic surgeons and eventually she went under the knife and came out looking nothing like her former self.

After her recovery, Irene returned back to London. Purchasing a run-down old Victorian villa, she turned it into her new place of business - a fetish club called "Le Papillion Noir". She discreetly contacted all her old clients, directing them to her new place, hired some pretty girls who she trained up, and watched as her business began booming again.

Until such time as the world ends, we will act as though it intends to spin on.

How Did You Find Us? I created you

I have searched for the phrase "I shall walk the Earth and my hunger shall know no bounds," but I keep getting redirected to Weight Watchers.

Roleplay Sample: The smell of jasmine leaves and sweet perfume filled the room, while Irene sat stretched out on the Victorian couch, nose stuck in a book. She was re-reading 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' for the umpteenth time while waiting for the various time sessions to be up. Normally her girls knew how long they had and they adhered to that time limit, but sometimes time was very hard to keep track of when they were working. Withdrawing an antique pocket-watch from the front of her corset, Irene opened it and checked the time, before shutting the watch with a soft snap and letting it drop on the chain it was hanging off. Time to go check on her girls.

Leaving the room, she wandered about the mansion, watching as various girls led their clients out to the exit, careful to not have any two clients meeting. After all, anonymity was a precious thing, in a place like this. Walking into pool-room, Irene peeked into various rooms, which were by now empty. Just one room to check.

"Ella, time is up," she called out, knuckles rapping on the door. No reply came from within and Irene allowed herself a slight frown. "Ella?" she called out again, pushing the door open and peeking inside. The room was empty, save for a latex-clad woman with a mask on dangling limply from the Y-cross chains that hung from the ceiling. Irene did not need medical training to see that the woman was dead and there was nothing that could be done.

"Oh Ella," Irene whispered as a sad sigh left her crimson lips, her eyes crinkling with disappointment and upset. However a moment later her expression changed to a mask of utter calm and collection, as if the fact that one of her best workers was now dead didn't affect her. Heels clicking along the stone floor, Irene left the pool house, heading up to her personal room. Picking up the receiver, she dialled 999, her voice low and even as she spoke. "Police, please. I would like to report a homicide. At 'Le Papillion Noir', Brixton. Please send Scotland Yard as soon as you can."
